What is online dermatology and how does it work?

Online dermatology, also called teledermatology, lets you consult with a licensed dermatologist and receive prescription treatment through a secure digital platform, without visiting a clinic. At Honeydew, you submit a brief health history and skin photos, and a board-certified dermatologist reviews your case and prescribes the right treatment. Medications are sent to your pharmacy or shipped directly to you.

What skin conditions does Honeydew treat online?

Honeydew's online dermatology providers treat acne (including cystic, hormonal, and treatment-resistant acne), eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. 

For acne specifically, we offer the full spectrum of treatments, from topical prescriptions to oral medications like Accutane, all managed 100% online with ongoing dermatologist oversight.

What support can I expect from Honeydew?

We offer comprehensive support for our patients, including access to experienced providers, assistance with lab orders and the iPledge program (when needed), unlimited support, and progress tracking.

What if I’m under 18?

If you or your child is under the age of 18, a parent or guardian should be part of the initial consultation. In circumstances where this is not possible, please contact info@honeydewcare.com and we will assist you with alternate ways to establish parental consent.

Do I need insurance to see an online dermatologist through Honeydew?

No insurance is required to get started. Honeydew charges a flat monthly, 4-month or annual membership fee, and we'll run your prescriptions through your insurance to minimize medication costs, in some cases bringing your Accutane or other prescriptions to $0. If you don't have insurance, generic pricing is available starting as low as $30/box. The membership fee is also HSA/FSA eligible.
