Johnathan Moore graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a minor in Military Leadership. After serving as an Army officer, he attended the military's Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in San Antonio, earning his degree as a Physician Assistant, and went on to complete additional training in dermatology.

His interest in the field started early: he struggled with acne growing up and saw firsthand how long it can take to find treatment that actually works. That experience is what first drew him to dermatology, and a clinical rotation in the specialty sealed it. He's now been practicing medical and surgical dermatology since finishing his training, and says the best part of the job is helping patients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. He also continues to serve as a Physician Assistant in the Army National Guard.
